painting of Beverley Minster, East Yorkshire
'Beverley Minster from Highgate' gs103
The Minster of Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, towers over the town of Beverley with its spectacular medieval architecture. The Minster is generally regarded as the most impressive - architecturally speaking - church in England that is not a cathedral, with styles ranging from Gothic to Perpendicular. Founded by St. John of Beverley, the current building dates back to 1220.
