'Beverley Minster from Highgate' gs103 |
The Minster of
Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, towers over the town of Beverley with
its spectacular medieval architecture. The Minster is generally regarded
as the most impressive - architecturally speaking - church in England
that is not a cathedral, with styles ranging from Gothic to Perpendicular.
Founded by St. John of Beverley, the current building dates back to 1220. |
