Glyn Scargill was born in the East Yorkshire
coastal town of Withernsea.
Glyn's inspiration in selecting his subject is
twofold, as Glyn himself says "I like architecture but I like nature
too. I like architecture, I guess because I like form, and the integration
into nature." Glyn Scargill is unusual amongst watercolour painters
- his chosen medium - in that he is big on detail. His sense of perspective
and attention to detail are inherited from a former career as a draughtsman
within the engineering industry.
