Helen Elliott, an internationally recognised
British Naive Artist, was born in Hull and has been painting since
1970. She is a professional member of the Association of British Naïve
Artists. Her instantly recognisable paintings describe the colourful
and sometimes mischievous life of the villages and peoples of West
Wales where she lives and of places in France where she holidays and
exhibits. Helen is represented by local, national and international
galleries, including The Agora Gallery New York and The Museum of
Naïve Art in Paris. Her paintings have been exhibited and purchased
for internal collections in the USA, the Middle East and Europe. As
well as group shows throughout Wales and the UK in 2010 she has exhibited
in Poland, Germany, Denmark and in France, at Europe’s premier
Naïve art exhibition, where she was the only UK artist selected
to represent Britain. She is an elected member of the prestigious
reference book ‘Who’s Who in British Art’ (2010
edition). She is currently preparing for a three month solo exhibition
at the International Museum of Naïve Art in Paris in autumn 2011.
