Built by John Pile & Sons of Sunderland as the City of Adelaide for Devitt & Moore’s passenger run to Australia. The ship can by rightly described as a small clipper. Like the Cutty Sark she was a composite built ship. She had a varied career – a training ship, a store ship, a hospital ship, a naval hulk, and, as the Naval gunnery training ship HMS Carrick.
This fine art limited edition has an edition size of 100 and signed by David Bell. The picture is supplied cellophane wrapped, presented in a generously sized double-mount.
