Staithes is located on the Yorkshire coast, north of Whitby, has the air of a place lost in time, and has always been a stimulating village for artists. Once one of the largest fishing ports on the North East coast, Staithes has a sheltered harbour, bounded by high cliffs and two long breakwaters. This impressionist picture shows the vessel 'Dignity'.
