The Northern Pride and Northern Duke were two of fifteen Trawlers built in Germany in 1936. Originally owned by Lever Brothers and based at Fleetwood, the Trawlers were transferred to Grimsby during 1937-38 to form the fleet of Northern Trawlers Ltd., managed by H. Markham Cook. In the post war years these large, distinctive Trawlers were a familiar part of the Grimsby fishing industry. Both the Northen Pride and Northern Duke were scrapped in 1964.
The print is signed by Adrian Thompson. The picture is supplied cellophane wrapped, presented in a generously sized mount.
