| OH Boyd is a North Lincolnshire based artist who works in various mediums; from pen, pencil to oils. He is known for his portraiture work and is a registered artist with the National Portrait Gallery. His preferred medium is carving in Lincolnshire Limewood and he works big with an emphasis on realism, accuracy whilst containing subtle cryptic messages. He is best known for his carving of the Imperial Crown, centerpiece of the new royal State Gold Coach Britannia in timber from HMS Victory specially donated by the Admiralty . His portrait work featuring eyes has developed
into "the Eyes Have It" exhibition and this acts as a showcase
of examples for his portrait works which are individual, beautifully observed
and sensitively executed; these works are by commission only and are done
to celebrate a special event, milestone, or person. |
