Tony Denison was born in Glasgow
in 1937. He was taught architectural drawing by Allanson Hick and inherited
his love of the 19th century topographical tradition. This has remained
a constant influence and the work of Bonnington, Callow, Turner and
David Roberts an inspiration. Tony Denison has followed in their footsteps
and continues to work and exhibit in Venice, Rome, Verona, Prague and
the Nile Valley.
His aim is to convey a sense of place: to capture
the character and to reveal the beauty he finds in these historic sites.
Tony is represented in the City of London Guildhall Art Collection.
