This original oil on canvas painting is by marine artist James Miller. Three magnificent J Class yachts are shown here during the 1935 season. Britannia, with sail  number K1, is shown with King GeorgeV at the helm, racing what was to be it's last season due to the death of the King in 1936. Yankee, with sail number J-US2, was sailed over from the United States by Gerard B Lambert, to compete with eight other J Class yachts including Sir T. O. M. Sopwith's Endeavour, sail number J-K4, which eventually was to take the day in this race.
