Murdoch's Connection picture by artist John Brine. Murdoch's Connection spans the A63 in Hull, linking the city centre to the Marina. Named after suffragist Doctor Mary Murdoch. Born in Scotland in 1864, she died in Hull, aged 51. She was the first female doctor in Hull, and the first woman in Hull to own a car.
